Parenting is a lifelong journey of learning, and for parents of children with autism, this journey comes with unique challenges and responsibilities. At Measured Progress Therapy & Consulting, we recognize the critical role parents play in their child’s success. That’s why we offer comprehensive parent training programs designed to equip families with the tools and strategies needed to support their child’s development at home and in daily life.
Collaboration between parents and the therapy team is essential for promoting skill generalization across environments. When parents understand and apply ABA strategies consistently, children are more likely to retain and use learned skills beyond therapy sessions. Our training helps ensure that expectations for behavior remain the same, whether the therapy team is present or not—leading to faster skill acquisition and long-term success.
Your child’s Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) will meet with you regularly to discuss progress, provide hands-on coaching, and teach ABA techniques used in your child’s treatment plan. Training sessions are available in person or via telehealth, offering flexibility to fit your family’s needs.
At Measured Progress, we empower families to create positive, lasting change—because meaningful progress happens when we work together. Empowering Growth, One Step at a Time.
At Measured Progress Therapy & Consulting, we begin every ABA therapy journey with a thorough assessment process to ensure individualized, effective support. Our assessments are conducted in multiple phases to develop a comprehensive treatment plan tailored to each child’s unique needs.
Initial Consultation
Once we receive your intake paperwork, one of our Board-Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) will reach out to schedule an initial consultation. During this meeting, we take the time to understand your family’s needs, discuss your child’s strengths and challenges, and establish goals for their development. You’ll be asked in-depth questions about your child’s behavior, communication, and daily routines to help guide the assessment process.
Assessment Phase
A BCBA will conduct a direct assessment using a combination of 1:1 evaluations, structured observations, data collection, and interview-based tools. These assessments help us identify skill gaps, behavioral challenges, and opportunities for growth.
Assessments may include:
✔ Functional Behavior Assessments (FBA)
✔ Verbal Behavior Milestones Assessment and Placement Program (VB-MAPP)
✔ Assessment of Basic Language and Learning Skills – Revised (ABLLS-R)
✔ Assessment of Functional Living Skills (AFLS)
✔ Vineland Adaptive Behavior Scales
✔ Adaptive Behavior Assessment System-3 (ABAS-3)
Treatment Planning
Following the assessment, the BCBA will develop a comprehensive, individualized treatment plan. This plan will include assessment results, targeted treatment goals, and recommended therapy hours. Once the treatment plan is complete, we will schedule a meeting with your family to review the findings and discuss the next steps.
If you are satisfied with the plan and its direction, we will finalize the process, obtain your approval, and prepare to begin direct therapy services. Our goal is to ensure that every child receives the personalized support they need to achieve meaningful progress—because at Measured Progress, we are Empowering Growth, One Step at a Time.
At Measured Progress Therapy & Consulting, we believe that success extends beyond the therapy setting and into schools and communities. Collaboration between our therapy team, educators, and community members is essential for creating inclusive environments where individuals can thrive.
Our School & Community Collaboration services focus on working closely with schools, teachers, and community organizations to ensure that the strategies and skills learned in therapy are effectively integrated into daily activities. By sharing insights and providing training, we help empower educators and community members to support each child’s unique needs and promote positive behaviors in all settings.
Our team collaborates with school staff to develop individualized plans that align with each child’s treatment goals, creating a seamless experience across home, therapy, and educational environments. We also provide guidance on creating inclusive classrooms, supporting social skills development, and fostering understanding among peers and educators.
At Measured Progress, we are committed to creating strong, supportive partnerships between families, schools, and communities to ensure every individual has the opportunity to succeed—because growth happens when we all work together. Empowering Growth, One Step at a Time.
At Measured Progress Therapy & Consulting, we offer two tailored ABA treatment programs—Comprehensive ABA Treatment and Focused ABA Treatment—designed to meet the unique needs of your child. The specific program and treatment hours that best align with your child’s needs will be determined during the assessment phase.
Comprehensive ABA Treatment
The goal of Comprehensive ABA Treatment is to help your child achieve developmental milestones typical for their age or to maximize their independence in key skill areas. This intensive program typically involves 25 to 40 hours per week of direct therapy, depending on your child’s age, needs, and progress. As your child makes progress and begins generalizing skills, the intensity of therapy may gradually decrease.
Initially, your child will receive 1:1 therapy in structured sessions. As they gain skills, more naturalistic approaches, such as small group formats, will be integrated. Family and caregiver training is also an essential part of this approach, ensuring that strategies are consistently implemented across all settings.
Comprehensive ABA treatment is generally a long-term commitment, with therapy continuing over the course of multiple years. The duration of treatment depends on your child’s response and progress. Throughout the process, we regularly assess your child’s development and adjust the treatment plan to ensure optimal progress.
Focused ABA Treatment is designed to target specific areas of concern, such as reducing challenging behaviors or enhancing social skills. Typically, focused therapy involves 9 to 24 hours per week of direct treatment. This approach is ideal for children who are meeting most developmental milestones but need additional support in one or two targeted areas.
Focused therapy may be part of a step-down or discharge plan from a comprehensive program, or it can be used to address specific developmental goals, such as building self-help skills, social skills, or advanced communication.
For social skills development, focused therapy may include small-group sessions with peers who have similar diagnoses. In these sessions, children will work together to practice and generalize desired behaviors in various environments.
At Measured Progress, we are committed to providing individualized therapy that supports long-term growth and independence, with the flexibility to adapt to your child’s changing needs. Empowering Growth, One Step at a Time.
